Bobby Flay

Bobby Flay is a television personality on the Food Network, Iron Chef, and the owner of several restaurants, including Mesa Grill.

Project Details: Web site written in Microsoft classic ASP 3.0 featuring Javascript effects, and a data-driven "Ingredient of the day" feature in which different ingredients are chosen to be featured automatically by a sophisticated randomization algorithm, ensuring a different ingredient for each day of the month. Featured ingredients were used as a launching point to recipes that showcased the ingredient.

Work Completed: Architecture and development of the "Ingredient of the Day" feature of the site.

Intel Corporation

Intel Corporation is a semiconductor manufacturer most known for creating the hardware computing platform is use in most computers worldwide.

Project Details: Design and application programming work for the motherboard division of Intel.

Work Completed: Worked under non-disclosure agreement developing a custom application for their research and development group under our previous company name "pocketkaos". The application was to support a customized software package on a new consumer PC platform. We also designed many of the applications used in the suite, which we did not develop ourselves.

Anne Klein Communications Group

Anne Klein Communications Group is a national public relations firm based in the Philadelphia region, and is the Philadelphia office of Pinnacle Worldwide.

Project Details: A web-marketing web site to support the client's established, traditional brick and mortar business. The site was written in PHP, and was designed to be easily edited by the client using standard HTML editors and FTP software. Javascript was used to enhance the appearance and usability of the site, like rollover image effects, etc.

Work Completed: Design, layout, architecture and development of the site under our previous company name "pocketkaos".

Non Sequiturs

Non Sequiturs is a personal blog for the President and CEO of Mezzocode.

iPhone version of the site.

Project Details: Web site featuring a content management system, registration and contact forms, user authentication and credential system, one-click, animated enlargement of photography, an Apple iPhone and iPod Touch mobile version, which has a completely different user interface tailored specifically for those devices. Site was created using ASP.NET CLR 2.0, using a table-less CSS layout featuring an elastic designjavascript, AJAX, XML, dynamic RSS feeds, dynamic Google site map, OpenSearch compliant site searchMicrosoft SQL Server 2005Halide API, and Carbide API. Advanced caching makes this complex site render lightning fast, since it only loads content and renders HTML once every 5 minutes. This enables the site to handle a tremendous number of visitors.

Work Completed: Architecture, programming and photography. 

The Pros

The Pros is a wedding and special event disc jockey, photography, and videography company, with locations all over the country.

Project Details: Web site for clients to sign in, browse, and purchase their event photographs. The shopping experience includes an image gallery, and a custom cropping tool which allows the customer to crop their photographs before purchasing them. Photo albums can also be assembled and purchased using an interactive tool. The sites use Microsoft classic ASP 3.0Microsoft SQL Server 2000javascriptCSSXMLAdobe Flash, and more.

Work Completed: Design, architecture, and programming of the entire shopping cart system, including the custom photo cropping tool, under our previous company name "pocketkaos".

Pinnacle Worldwide

Pinnacle Worldwide is today one of the world's leading organizations of independently owned public relations firms with practitioners in Europe, North America, Latin America and the Asia Pacific region.

Project Details:  A member-only portal, where member public relations companies can log in and edit their account information, manage their client lists, search through partner rosters, download and preview background materials and corporate/human resources documentation, examine "best practices" and learn more about pitching Pinnacle to clients properly. Reporting also provided a way of determining the usage of the portal, as well as client data analysis. The portal was written in Microsoft Classic ASP 3.0, and piggy-backed on top of a PHP (public) site. It used a Microsoft JET connector to manage all data in a Microsoft Access data file that the client could easily download for backup.

Work Completed: All layout, architecture, and development work for the portal under our previous company name "pocketkaos".

Las Tarascas en Zocalo

Las Tarascas en Zocalo is a Mexican restaurant in Philadelphia featuring authentic Mexican cuisine from the Morelia region of Mexico.

Project Details: Web site featuring a content management system, editable global options (like contact form destination), dynamic menus, specials, contact form, Z-List customer sign-up database, and one-click, animated enlargement of menu items. Site was created using ASP.NET CLR 2.0, using a table-less CSS layout, javascript, Microsoft SQL Server 2005, Halide API, and Carbide API. Advanced caching makes this complex site render lightning fast, since it only loads content and renders HTML once every 5 minutes. This enables the site to handle a tremendous number of visitors.
